In the fabulous surroundings of Dionysos you cannot help but be inspired. Through a series of morning classes and afternoon one-on-one sessions Sara Bailey will take you through the stages and techniques you need to help you fulfil your creative goals.
The Itinerary
Saturday
Arrive and meet Sara together with fellow guests.
Sunday
10am; An introduction to the week
10.30-12.30am; Class 1
2-5pm; 1 on 1 Sessions
Evening; The opportunity to discuss the first day over dinner.
Monday & Tuesday
10.30-12.30am; Classes 2/3
2-5 pm; 1 on 1 Sessions
Evening; Dine independently or together as you prefer.
Wednesday
A free day, relaxing at sea aboard the Dionysos gulet.
Evening; After dinner wine tasting with prizes for the best drink inspired poems or limericks.
Thursday
10.30-12.30am; Class 4
2-5pm; 1 on 1 Sessions
Evening; Dine independently or together as you prefer.
Friday
10.30-12.30am; Class 5
2-5pm; 1 on 1 Sessions
Evening; Sara conducts a special session for Readings and Open Mike followed by a closing address.
Afterwards, the opportunity to discuss the week’s events over dinner.
Saturday
Depart or continue holiday with a coastal break.
Sara Bailey Biog.
Over many years of creative writing and teaching experience in which she produced such diverse works as a fantasy autobiography for Alison Moyet’s World Tour Souvenir Programme to wining the Bristol Poetry Slam 2000 . Sara has also performed her poetry at the prestigious Ashton Court festival and International Women’s days events in Bristol and Bath and she appeared on the BBC’s Newsnight programme on the new Poet Laureate.
More recently Sara was commissioned to write a storyline for film director Madeline Farley. She is also currently doing her PHD in Creative writing and working on a novel.
Her coaching style is designed to move students forward in their chosen creative writing field, including starting a novel, short stories or poetry. She has runnumerous successful courses in the Richmond area, including ‘First Draft – How to Write a Novel in a Month’.
