Istanbul Hotel Empress Zoë, SultanAhmet, Istanbul
This wonderful hotel is full of character and is far removed from what one might expect from a typical city hotel.
The hotel and gardens surround the old Isak Pasha Hamam (Turkish Bath), which dates back to 1483, and elements of this are incorporated into the reception area, the gardens and throughout the hotel design.
The eminently comfortable 22 rooms and suites lead from the winding spiral staircase. Each is individually decorated with wood, stone, Turkish kilims, Byzantine paintings and folk art.
Guests may relax in the attractive courtyard gardens, the bar and breakfast area, and also the split-level roof terrace which affords magnificent panoramic views across the Sea of Marmara, the ancient city walls, the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia.
The feedback from guests is exemplary and we are proud to be the only company presenting this wonderfully quirky hotel, full of character and providing a fabulous personalised service – completely in line with our own philosophy.
