Food & Wine at Dionysos - an organic culinary delight!

Dining at Dionysos
The ultimate compliment we can give the al fresco restaurant is quite simply to state that it is full virtually every evening of the season. The menu is created by the resident chef, Didem (Ahmet’s daughter) – who has earned a reputation as one of Turkey’s best known celebrity chefs. The style is ‘Different Tastes of the Mediterranean’.

Almost all the produce is organic with most fruit, vegetables and herbs, together with all its exceptional own-brand olive oil and much of their milk, cheese and butter sourced from its own lands.

A varied à la carte menu and tasteful special evenings held twice weekly, ensure guests keep returning. These well-received evenings
make the most of the dramatic setting with guests dining to live music, followed by dancing – literally – in the moonlight!

The special restaurant, Nar, is a fascinating and extremely popular idea. This special restaurant seats a maximum of 14 guests and only opens on Wednesday and Thursday. The concept is ‘An education of Turkish Cuisine’. Twelve tiny courses are served (you may ask for as much of each course as you wish) accompanied by fine wines and liquers. The charge is approximately £35 excluding drinks.

Once a week guests are invited into the kitchens to learn how to prepare some traditional dishes. This truly fascinating opportunity is a lovely touch and a great chance to discover more about one of the world’s finest cuisines.

Wine at the Dionysos
Ahmet assures us that the world’s first wines originated from the Cappadocia region and that today Turkey is the world’s sixth largest grape producer. Those that know Ahmet will not be surprised to hear that there are many more facts where those came from! The Dionysos wine list is based on ‘The Best of Turkey’ which Ahmet and Rim – both great wine lovers – will happily spend many an hour discussing.

So keen is Ahmet for guests to experience the quality of Turkish wines that he has introduced complimentary wine tastings which are usually held every week.

‘Amos’ - Olive Oil at Dionysos
Dionysos and its surrounding land has over 1500 olive trees, 800 of which were planted in 2007. Ahmet produces the most exquisite Extra Virgin Olive Oil - with an acidity betwen 0.2 and 0.6 - under the ‘Amos’ brand.

Once weekly complimentary olive oil tastings are held in combination with a cooking demonstration to show just a few of the many ways that olive oil can be used.

Dionysos Sea Club
A select beach club with water sports by day & elegant waterfront restaurant by night.

The Sea Club provides further choice for dining and is to be found immediately below the hotel on Kumlubük Bay. Run in the unique Dionysos style, the Sea Club provides an exclusive beach club service throughout the day for the Exclusive Escapes guests in the region and a few select others who wish to relax by the sea in style and enjoy the idyllic setting, stirring themselves to enjoy the water sports
provided nearby.

By night the Sea Club turns into a select, intimate and romantic sea-front restaurant.

Kindly note: the Sea Club is in operation from mid-May to mid-October.
