Car Hire

We work closely with local car hire companies to ensure we provide the best possible service and have received excellent feedback to date from our guests. All our vehicles come with a map of Turkey, a torch, a basic first aid kit and a 24-hour emergency breakdown service.

Exclusive Escapes pre-booked Car Hire Rates

Please note: we cannot confirm a specific car model within a group. All cars include air-conditioning and a radio &/or tape player. Jeeps are open-top, do not have radio/tape player and have little room for luggage.
*The Fiat Albea - automatic may only be booked in one week blocks (i.e. not 9 days) commencing Sunday am.

Rental Periods
Subject to availability rental can start on any day of the week. The minimum rental period is three days for most cars and seven for jeeps and minibuses. For rental between 4–6 days, divide the 3-day figure by 3 and multiply by the required number of days. For rental above 7 days, divide the 7-day figure by 7 and proceed as before.

Delivery
All vehicles will be delivered by 10:00 and collected at approximately 18:00 (therefore 7 days rental = 6.5 days use etc).

Drop-off Charges
Vehicles will be delivered to your property and can be returned to your original coastal property or Dalaman airport as you prefer, without additional charge. In Turkey, should your rental period be less than 7 days and you require the vehicle to be collected from a differing region to the original delivery, a drop-off charge of £50 is applicable. There is also a drop-off charge of £50 each way for Antalya, Bodrum and Sirince.

Inclusive Vehicles
We will transfer you to your property and will endeavour to have your inclusive vehicle available upon arrival or, if that is not possible by 11:00 the following morning. The vehicle will be collected from your property at approximately 16:00 on the day of your departure.

INSURANCE
Our rates include unlimited mileage, insurance in compliance with Turkish law, collision damage waiver and government tax. It is usual in Turkey that this insurance does not include damage to lights, windscreens, and tyres with an excess insurance made available (and paid) locally to cover this.

Excess Waivers (to be paid locally)
A fee of approximately £3 per day can be paid locally to avoid any ‘excess’ payments being due in the case of an accident.

We stress that no insurance in Turkey covers damage to a vehicle undercarriage. We recommend that you check the vehicle carefully in the presence of the car hire agent. A credit card impression is taken as a deposit against accident charges at the outset of your rental.

Drivers
Drivers must be a minimum of 21 for cars and 25 for jeeps. Two drivers may be named per vehicle and must always travel with a full driving licence, passport and vehicle papers. Additional drivers can be added for a minimal cost (paid locally).

Safety
All vehicles have seat belts. The middle rear seat belt in a five-seat vehicle is a lap belt.

Child seats are available for a charge of £10 per rental. Please note these seats are of a ‘one size fits all’ design suitable for a child weighing up to 16kg – should you have any concerns we recommend you bring your own.

In the event of an accident it is important to obtain a police report. Should a car need to be repaired, a replacement will only be provided if and when available.

Driving is on the right hand side of the road and the infrastructure is generally good, though you do occasionally come across all manner of slow-moving farm vehicles!

Cancellation
Should you decide to cancel your pre-booked car hire when in Turkey a two-day charge is applicable.
