Family rate: 2 Adults (co-habiting for at least 6 months in a common-law relationship) and their dependant children aged under 18, living at the family home and in full time education.

Single Parent rate: 1 Adult and their dependant children aged under 18, living at the family home and in full time education.

Our Travel Insurance is specially arranged through Preferential Insurance Services Limited and is underwritten by Optimum Underwriting Limited as underwriting Agents for Groupama Insurance Company Ltd and they comply with the GISC Code of Practice of Selling General Insurance.

It is available at the time of booking by paying the appropriate premiums so that you can relax in the knowledge of being properly covered for the duration of your holiday.

The following is a synopsis of the insurance arranged by Preferential. Full details will be sent with your confirmation invoice.

Please note that insurance is only available to UK residents currently residing in the UK.

MEDICAL HEALTH REQUIREMENTS


You are not covered if, when you took out this insurance or when you booked your trip, you or any person upon whose health the trip may depend:

  1. were aware of any reason why the trip could be cancelled or curtailed or of any Pre-existing condition which could result in a claim;
  2. have, during the 12 months before this insurance started, suffered from any chronic or recurring illness for which you have received treatment, including the taking of ongoing medication;
  3. are awaiting tests/investigations, or for the results of test/investigations for a Pre-existing condition;
  4. were travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner or in order to get medical treatment;
  5. have been diagnosed as having a terminal illness;
  6. were receiving, recovering from, or on a waiting list for out/day/in-patient treatment in a hospital or nursing home, or on a waiting list to see a consultant or specialist.

You must notify the Optimum Medical Helpline at the time of taking out this insurance, and at any time between the time of taking out this insurance and the start of the trip, if any of the circumstances stated above apply.

If circumstances change after you have taken out this insurance, Optimum reserve the right to alter the terms of this insurance based on the changed circumstances.

If you do not then accept what Optimum offer, it will, subject to the terms, conditions and exceptions of the policy, pay you under Section1 of the policy for loss of holiday deposits or charges, which you have necessarily incurred up to the date of such changed circumstances.

SUMMARY OF COVER PER PERSON

  1. Cancellation or Curtailment up to £3,000 for specified causes (£50 excess. £10 for loss of Deposit only)

  2. Missed departure up to £750

  3. Personal Accident up to £25,000 (Death £15,000)

  4. Baggage and Personal Luggage up to £1,500 (£50 excess). Personal Money up to £500 (Cash limited to £250, £50 excess). Single articles up to a maximum of £250 (excess £50). Valuables up to a maximum of £350 (£50 excess). Sunglasses up to a maximum of £75 (excess £50). Up to £100 for emergency purchase of essential items of clothing etc. for luggage delayed more than 12 hours

  5. Personal Liability up to £2,000,000

  6. Medical Emergency Expenses (including repatriation to the United Kingdom) up to £5,000,000 (£50 excess) Medical Inconvenience Benefit £20 for each complete 24 hours to maximum of £500

  7. 24 Hour Medical Emergency Services operated by Alert Assistance Wings. Please refer to your policy wording for the Emergency Assistance Telephone number

  8. Departure Delay protection - First full 12 hours £20, and then £10 for each subsequent 12 hours thereafter, up to £100 maximum or if abandonment after the first full 12 hours up to the amount under the Cancellation section (£50 excess for abandonment only)

  9. Legal Expenses up to £10,000

The excesses apply per person per incident.

MONEY BACK GUARANTEE

If you are not happy with this policy you may return it to us within 14 days of receipt, with a written request to cancel the insurance provided there has been no claim made or travel undertaken.

DANGEROUS SPORTS COVER
Paragliding, White Water Rafting, Canyoning and Microlite Flights

As is the case with most insurance, these items are not covered by this policy.

However - as with all our Activities - each of the aforementioned Activity Schools is fully accredited and our guests are covered by each schools insurance and liability cover. The only difference to a standard claim is that it will be pursued in Turkey and not the U.K.
